ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decided to file a reference against chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry in Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on Monday seeking his removal from his post.
Sources said that decision for filing reference has been taken in the light of Panama case decision.
PTI is of the view that chairman NAB showed negligence in conducting investigations into foreign assets of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his children in connection with Panama case.
Therefore, he is not eligible for heading an institution of national importance like NAB.
Sources said PTI would file reference under article 209 of the constitution demanding the removal of chairman NAB from his post.
