India refuses to host Asia Cup

LAHORE: India has refused to host Asia Cup, next year, reports in Indian media said on Monday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took the decision because of the reluctance to host Pakistan. The BCCI has informed the Asian Cricket Council of its decision.

Cricketing ties between the two neighbours are at record low. The strained relations between PCB and BCCI deteriorated further when former field a compensation claim of USD 70 million against BCCI for not honouring the agreement to hold a bilateral cricket series.
