JHELUM: Six people died and more than 13 injured when a bus over loaded with devotees including women and children fell into the deep ravine after its tire burst near Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan on Saturday.
The bus was heading to Pir Da Khara located in District Chakwal and Thesil Kallar Kahar.
After the incident, rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where four injured were taken to Rawalpindi in serious condition.
According to district police office, one woman including two children among them died while seven men including four women and two children among them are injured.
According to eyewitnesses that the Islamabad bond bus’s tire suddenly burst and due to malfunctioning the drive of the bus could not control the breaks owing to this, it turned turtle and plunged into the deep ravine.
In another incident four people including one child and one woman died and 16 were injured in two different road accidents in Lillah on Saturday.
According to sources, van going to Mundhari from Bherah suddenly turned turtle after its tire busted and as a result four people died on the spot. Rescue teams reached to the spot and shifted the injured to Rural Health centre in Lillah.
