PESHAWAR: Senator Nauman Wazir on Saturday awarded more than 30 trophies to the winners of annual gala of the FF Steel, Frontier Foundry (Pvt) Ltd, in order to encourage the employees.

The annual team-building and award ceremony was held at Peshawar the other day wherein around 200 employees of FF Steel, along with their families, were also present. It was for the first time the company has arranged such a programme for local employees in order to recognise their achievements.

Speaking on the occasion, FF Steel Chief Executive Eng Zarak Khan shared the future plans of the company and informed the participants that the setting up of FF Steel’s second unit in Lahore – with a production capacity of 900 tonnes per day – would make it the largest steel unit in Pakistan. “Our sales workforce with more than 70 employees and expected 100 retailers across Pakistan would make it the leading steal manufacturing company in Pakistan.”

He praised 18 quality inspectors of the company for showing excellent results and applauded their services and role in this regard. Khan also congratulated the team for ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and ISO 18000 certifications, along with the licence given to the company for manufacturing the international standard ASTM – 615-Grade 60 Steel.

He said that FF Steel was the only company in the steel sector of Pakistan to have been certified by the PSQCA for Grade 75 steel bars.

As part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR), the company has launched a campaign titled “Safer and Stronger Pakistan”.
