11 court absconders, five POs arrested

LAHORE: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have arrested 49 suspects and recovered valuables, drugs and illegal weapons from them during picket duties on highways across the province.

According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Highway Patrol, the PHP teams also arrested five proclaimed offenders (POs) and 11 court absconders in different cities of the province.

He said that the highway police also seized 395 litres of liquor, 840gram charas after arresting 23 culprits. He added that those arrested had been handed over to police stations concerned for further legal formalities.
