The Exhibit — where fashion and lifestyle came under one roof

LAHORE: Tuesday morning set the ball rolling for many upcoming designers, lifestyle brands and start-up accessory vendors when Dolce Vita Home The Exhibit held its 15th showcase, this time in Lahore once again.

Much a hype had been created already on social media, in the press and the fashion circuit about the this humongous retail indulgence platform which was housing a plethora of lifestyle and fashion brands on the most economical of prices, welcoming mainly wedding shoppers and making it easier for them to search what they’re looking for under one roof.

Most of the brands exhibiting stood out for their affordable prices, colourful displays, quality items and marketable products. These included Butter Cup, Rema & Shehrbano, Sash & Co, Meeras by Nilofer, Des Dinnerware, Dolce Vita Home, Cosa Nostra and Time & Jewellery.

A lot of thought, effort and energy had been invested by not just the brains behind The Exhibit but also by the participants, who had been readying their products ever since the date was announced. Held at the Rose Marquee at PAF Falcon Complex, The Exhibit provided each brand – established and the start-up – to put forth their items for the public, providing their clientele with an easy-to-shop experience.

The start-up brands got the opportunity to make their presence felt among the veteran brands and be noticed by all. There was a something for everyone approach adopted by The Exhibit with prices as little as Rs 300 ranging until Rs 65,000 and beyond.

People walked around shopping for clothes, jewellery, accessories, décor, furniture items and even food.

“I’m having a great time. Ever since I moved my brand from its official premises of DHA, I was on the lookout for a platform, which would enable my brand to be noticed by a large number of people. With The Exhibit, I got an opportunity to showcase my winter collection for all,” Sadaf of Sash & Co said, while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

“I’m getting to meet so many people, walk around and interact with all visitors, relax myself and introduce my brand to others. It’s a complete luxurious retail experience with The Exhibit,” Shagufta Agha of Des Dinnerware said, also while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

I also caught up with legendary fashion designer Nilofer Shahid who was displaying her brand Meeras. “I’m here to support a lot of start-up brands other than sitting at my stall. Most have done a fabulous job,” she said.

The Exhibit is the first and one of the biggest multi-brand events in South Asia, showcasing everything from fashion, jewellery, interiors and other high-end lifestyle items. The Exhibit is headed by Alyzeh Rahim Shirazi and Sania Ali. It aims to make it easier for the customer to get the best quality of prêt and couture, alongside many other fashion and lifestyle items under one roof and also helps designers increase their customer reach and database.
