ATTOCK: The engine attached to Peshawar-bound Khushal Khan Khattak Express derailed near Attock City Railway Station on Thursday morning according to reports.
The passenger train was stopped and safety of the attached bogies was looked after, following the engine derailment.
Peshawar-bound Khushal Khan Khattak Express was reportedly carrying 300 passengers according to railway authorities.
The incident disrupted operations and caused delays on the rail track near Attock.
Quetta-bound Jaffar Express also derailed near Aimanabad area in Gujranwala on April 17.
According to railway authorities, repair work was going on the on part of the track since past two days.
Railway authorities had also dispatched a train to take the passengers of Jaffar Express to Lahore where the passengers were served freshly cooked food and taken care of by the railway authorities.
