Every Pakistani a soldier in Radd-ul-Fasaad: COAS

Author: Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa on Sunday called every Pakistani a soldier in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad as the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a video message urging all citizens to be vigilant against terrorists.

The video was shared by ISPR Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor on his official Twitter account along with a tweet quoting the army chief.

“Every Pakistani is soldier of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’. Let us clean Pakistan from ‘fasaad’ [mischief],” the tweet read.

The video itself shows a man attempting to rent a car from a business owner illegally. When the owner asks the man for his identification, the latter presses him to simply lend him the car for extra money. The video then shows the man who rented the car using it to transport a suicide bomber to his target. This is followed by a message urging all the Pakistanis, especially business owners, to be alert about any suspicious activity, transactions in particular, and to report any such incident or attempt to the authorities.

Pakistan is at war with terrorists, mostly foreigners, who infiltrate the country through porous Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Hundreds of soldiers have laid down their lives while flushing out terrorists from across the country. In March 2016, Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was also arrested from Balochistan.

Last week, Bajwa signed execution orders of another 30 hardcore terrorists.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had said the terrorists were awarded death sentence by military courts.

“The process expedited during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. These terrorists were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism including attack on Army Public School Peshawar, kidnapping and slaughtering soldiers of Frontier Constabulary, attack on Saidu Sharif airport, killing of innocent civilians, attacking Armed Forces of Pakistan and Law Enforcement Agencies,” the ISPR said in statement.
