Nawaz, Maryam leave for London

LAHORE: Former prime minister and president of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif departed for London on Tuesday from Lahore airport.

He flew to London via Doha through foreign airline QR-629. Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and granddaughter Mahnoor also accompanied him. The family will visit ailing Kulsoom Nawaz who is undergoing treatment for lymphoma at a London hospital. Members of the former first family of Pakistan are to spend few days in their posh Mayfair residence after an accountability court exempted Nawaz Sharif from appearance in hearings for a week. Moreover, Judge Muhammad Bashir also dismissed the plea seeking alteration in Maryam’s exemption plea while maintaining it till December 15.
