Power tariff reduces by 4.59 per unit

ISLAMABAD: Power tariff is likely to be curtailed by Rs 4.59 per unit under Fuel Adjustment Surcharge (FAS).

According to sources, over the last several months, power tariff have been announced to be flashed due to decrease in the petrol prices. Power tariff will be scaled down under FAS.

According to which power tariff for month of February will be scaled  down to the tune of Rs 2.39 per unit and Rs 2.20 per unit for month March and this way total reduction of power tariff will stand at Rs 4.59 per unit.

A decision on account of prospective reduction in power tariff is likely to be taken after the hearing of CPPA petition on April 26. However, consumers consuming energy up to 300 units per month will not benefit from this curtailment in power tariff.
