LAHORE: Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sumair Ahmed Syed Monday said that the district administrator had started receiving applications from farmers for the issuance of gunny bag, while duty staff at all four wheat procurement centres had been receiving applications at established centres.
While reviewing the performance of workers at wheat procurement centres, the deputy commissioner said that there would be transparent and merit based distribution of gunny bags among farmers from April 26.
He said that wheat collection process would start from April 29th at all wheat procurement centres. Sumair Ahmed said that all arrangement had been finalised at the procurement centres for facilitation of farmers.
