As we write this, we have a Dolce & Gabbana dress we can’t afford sitting in our virtual shopping cart on Barneys.com.

It’s minimised on our desktop so that, just in case we should happen to receive a sudden influx of cash from God knows where, we’re ready and can quickly snap it up before it sells out. So, needless to say, these self-confessed sucker for a floral print inspired by Southern Italy and home décor-obsessive was excited to learn that their favourite brand is releasing a collection of kitchen appliances. The brand has teamed up with the Italian company Smeg to create a line of beautiful, brightly coloured juicers, toasters, coffee machines, teapots, blenders, mixers, and more. Covered in patterned prints that incorporate floral, leaf, lemon, pear, and cherry motifs, the products are an homage to Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s heritage-one that is often said to centre around good food. This isn’t the only time the design duo has honed in on the most important room in the house. Last spring, they released 100 hand-painted refrigerators for the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Each one was priced at $34,000.

The price list for the countertop appliances is still TBD, and the items won’t actually be available until October. One thing’s for sure, though: We’re starting our wish list now.
