KARACHI: The Dismissed Policemen of Karachi Traffic Police staged a protest on Monday out side Garden Police Headquarters where the office of Deputy Inspector General of traffic Police is situated . Worst traffic Jam occurred due to the protest around the Garden Police Headquarters which further expended to the whole Old City Area and Main Saddar and the down Town of metropolis, thousands of vehicles had been stuck on the roads for many hours.

According to the details 41 traffic policemen gathered in front of Garden Police Headquarters and started protest to reinstate them to the police department. The protesting policemen said that they were part of sindh police a few weeks ago but the Deputy Inspector General of traffic Police Asif Aijaz Shaikh has dismissed them with out any enquiry on the allegations that they allowed heavy traffic on the roads in daylight despite a ban.

The policemen have demanded to be employed back as their families were suffering, SHO Preedy said.

SHO Preedy further told that when the huge traffic jam took place in the whole area then on the directives of high-ups the police reacted and tried to disburse them but they did not.

After the dialogues held with the high officals they left the area and police cleared the roads for traffic.
