Bride looted at gunpoint in RWP

RAWALPINDI: Three robbers have allegedly deprived a bride of her precious jewelry at gunpoint.

Neelum Atique told police that she was on her way from the beauty parlour to her home along with her sister when two robbers riding on a motorcycle intercepted them and snatched jewelry and Rs 70,000 in cash at gun point.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation. It is pertinent to mention that crime rates in Rawalpindi have recently increased while law enforcement is finding it difficult to control this upsurge in crime.
