RAWALPINDI: Excise and Taxation Department Islamabad sealed 110 properties while conducting an operation against property tax defaulters.
According to media reports, Rs 8,000,000 were not paid by these defaulters on account of outstanding arrears against the property tax.
The Excise and Taxation Department staff has till now recovered Rs 2,670,000.
In the supervision of ETO zone 1 Nazia Javed, about 50 properties have been sealed and while the department has made a recovery of more than Rs 1,200,000.
Under the supervision of ETO zone 2 Riaz Hussain Qureshi, 60 properties were sealed with the recovery of Rs 1,468,000 from defaulters.
