Sir: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University established Sanghar campus two years ago. Within a short passage of time, more than five hundred students have been enrolled and all the basic facilities are being provided to students.
Previously, when the campus had not been constructed, students were going to big cities to receive higher education. It was really difficult for them to live and get accommodation at these universities. Moreover, most of the students could not get admittance to universities because their parents were unable to support them. Similarly, a number of girls are also not allowed to acquire higher education in universities because of constraints at home. Women are the backbone of every nation. A nation cannot flourish until it’s women stand side by side with it’s men. Furthermore, when Sanghar campus was inaugurated many underprivileged boys got admission in Sanghar campus because the campus was not far away and they are living with their families.
The condition of education in Sanghar is not good. The literacy rate of Sangha is 30 percent while the literacy rate of Karachi is 63 per cent. There is a huge difference between the two cities. The people are hopeful that the literacy rate will increase soon. It is requested to government to take appropriate steps to end this gap. These campuses should be constructed all over the Sindh in order to impart knowledge among the masses.
