Rain inundates city roads and streets

JACOBABAD: Rain plunged several parts of the city including Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts into darkness while roads and streets of both districts were inundated with rain and drainage water. Shikarpur and Jacobabad showed poor performance of Sukkur Electric Power Company and Municipal Committee in Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts. Meanwhile, a man identified as Zulfikar Chandio lost his life in rain related incident in city. In another incident, Himat Ali shot dead Hazari, his mother -in-law on petty matter in front of District Health Officer Office Jacobabad. Saddar Police moved the body to Civil Hospital Jacobabad and handed it over to relatives after postmortem examination.
