‘Try Mashal’s killers in military court’

PESHAWAR: speaking at Peshawar press club during a seminar organized in memory of mashal khan, chairman olasi tehrik Dr. syed alam mehsud has demanded trial of mashal khan’s murderer under military court and stressed on Pak-Army to conduct this proceedings on priority basis.

He said that heinous murder of mashal khan was not blasphemous case rather it was a pre planned cold blooded murder organized by corrupt university administration on the backyard of religion.

He added that revelations form wajaht (one of the nominated criminal) tells something different, which negates blasphemy and point to the hatchet conspiracy by the university administration.

“Existed judicial system of Pakistan will give benefit of doubt to murderers as is evident from the previous cases of blasphemy cases where the accusers got the benefit of doubt and escaped from punishment, adding that he said that capital punishment did not apply in this kind of cases” he said.

Meanwhile he hailed mufti naeem mufti taqi usmani and imam kabba for declaring mashal as a martyr.

The seminar was attended by the senior lawyers of provincial metropolitan, eminent civil society members and different political affiliates.

Speaking on the occasion senior lawyer Peshawar high court arshad khan said that fake ID had been made on the name of mashal khan to blemish him of commenting derogatory remarks against religion.

“The only crime he had committed of voicing against grave injustice, growing favoritism and officials with holding dual posts at a time in university.” He said.

He further said that if anyone who had committed blasphemy, state is available to punish him nobody is liable to bring to justice such person.
