ISLAMABAD: There were goals all round as Ufone Football Championship continued in Balochistan on Wednesday. The event is being organised by Ufone with an aim to promote football talent in the province. Several schools, colleges, universities and clubs are taking part in the tournament. In a match played in Pashin, Young Afghan FC beat Bahaar FC 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 stalemate. The four penalties for Young Afghan FC were scored by M Aslam, Mubaibullah, Saifullah and Mahmud Bunair while Jagir, Asfandyar and Kaim scored successful spot kicks for Bahaar FC. In the other match of the day, Youth Afghan Football Club registered an impressive 2-0 over Young Afghan Club with the help of goals from Tanvir Ahmed and Noorullah. Both the games were played at Youth Afghan Football Club’s home ground in Pashin. The quarter finals and final will be played in Ayub Stadium Quetta.
