RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force on Monday vowed to expand an ongoing countrywide drive against narcotics to educational institutions. The decision was taken at the Force Commanders Conference. The conference also decided to speed up efforts to apprehend proclaimed offenders. ANF director general Major General Musarrat Nawaz Malik issued the instructions while chairing the conference. He also reviewed progress in counter-narcotics operations and stressed on the need for proactive and innovative steps to curb drug trafficking. During the conference, ANF DG appreciated efforts made by ANF regional directorates in curbing the menace of drugs. The DG also discussed the emerging trend of consumption of synthetic drugs, saying that these were a grave threat to human health and special measures were required to control their distribution.
