PTCL inks deal with 1LINK to host its data centre

KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) inked a data centre hosting agreement with 1LINK Guarantee Limited, the largest payment network in Pakistan for automated teller machines (ATMs) and point of sale (POS) network, for a term of three years.

According to a press release issued on Monday, the initiative will be deployed at PTCL’s data centre facility in Karachi

The agreement was signed by PTCL Digital Services EVP Farooq Ahmed Jalali and 1LINK (Guarantee) Limited CEO Najeeb Agrawalla. Others present on the occasion included: PTCL President & Chief Executive Officer Dr Daniel Ritz, PTCL Digital Services General Manager Umar Farooqi, 1LINK (Guarantee) Limited CIO Azimullah Khan, 1LINK (Guarantee) Limited COO Bashir Khan, 1LINK (Guarantee) Limited IT head Azeem Siddiqui, and other officials.

PTCL President & CEO Dr Daniel Ritz said, “PTCL’s customer-centric strategy coupled with its modern & reliable network is the first choice for enterprises to avail one-window ICT solutions. 1LINK has conveyed its trust on PTCL by awarding its production site to us which validates the reliability of PTCL data centres in the region’s telecom market.”

1LINK (Guarantee) Limited CEO Najeeb Agrawalla said, “The synergy of PTCL with 1LINK is an ideal alliance to achieve 1LINK’s goal to deliver exceptional client experience and inclusion of next-generation applications by virtue of PTCLs’ huge and resilient infrastructure.
