LAYYAH: A man poisoned himself and his five children over domestic problems in Layyah.

30-year-old Tariq Mehmood poisoned himself and his five children, out of which four were girls and one a boy. The children were killed immediately by the substance.

Tariq’s brother, Hassan, reported to the police on finding the children dead and his brother vomiting on the floor at 5am.the children were rushed to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Tariq was in a critical condition when taken to the hospital and was shifted to Nishtar hospital in Multan.

Mehmood was a laborer at Layyah who had recently divorced his wife, added the police.
