LAHORE: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a major terror bid in Faisalabad during wee hours of Saturday morning and shot dead four terrorists of a banned organisation in exchange of fire. According to CTD spokesperson, CTD Faisalabad set up a check-post on intelligence report at Sargodha Road in the jurisdiction of Nishatabad Police Station and asked seven to eight suspects riding on four motorcycles to stop, who opened fire at the CTD personnel. The CTD officials returned fire that killed 4 terrorists. The spokesman further informed that three to four terrorists managed to flee the scene, taking advantage of the darkness. The law enforcement agencies also recovered 2 Kalashnikovs, pistols, 3kg of explosive material, 2 detonators and 2 motorcycles from the terrorists. The CTD spokesperson informed that the killed terrorists belonged to a banned organisation. A case was registered and bodies of the dead terrorists shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.
