LAHORE: Social media websites remain inaccessible in Pakistan as the operation against protesters in Islamabad continues.

Websites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram are inaccessible in all parts of the country.

This happened after television channels in the country were restricted from covering the Islamabad operation live by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Saturday morning.

Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has not responded to Daily Times’ request for a comment by the time of publishing this story.
