ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court heard an intra-court appeal against the termination of the Drug Regulatory Authority (DRA) chief executive officer (CEO) on Thursday.
A division bench, comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kyyani, heard the case.
The counsel for Dr Aslam requested the court to suspend the judgment given by the single bench. However, the request was turned down by the court.
The counsel said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had directed the DRA to take action against the companies involved in selling of fake stents. However, he said, the single bench had removed Dr Aslam from his post.
The counsel contended that the appointment of Dr Aslam was according to law. The court then adjourned the hearing till May 3.
