LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has once again ruled out the possibility of meeting Nawaz Sharif, blaming the latter for the current political situation of the country.
As per reports, Zardari said that the Nawaz Sharif “only remembers democratic promises where his interests are concerned”.
“Nawaz Sharif is responsible for the current political situation of the country. Meeting him or shaking his hand is [out of the question],” Zardari remarked.
The former president said, “We have always been stabbed, PPP signed Charter of Democracy which proved damaging for the party while Nawaz Sharif abandoned it at the last moment”.
On Wednesday, senior PPP leader Khursheed Shah stated that PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has requested him to arrange his meeting with senior leadership of his party.
