1 rear admiral and 2 commodores of Pakistan Navy promoted

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy Rear Admiral Abdul Aleem and two commodores, Cdre Naveed Ashraf and Cdre Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami have been promoted to the rank of vice admiral and rear admirals respectively, Pakistan Navy said in a statement.

Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem was commissioned to Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1984. The admiral has had a distinguished career with wide ranging command and staff experience. His important command appointments include commanding officer of missile boat and destroyer, Combined Task Force-151 commander at United States Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) HQ Bahrain, PNS Bahadur commandant, 25th Destroyer Squadron commander, PN War College Lahore commandant and sea training flag officer. His last appointment was as a coast commander.
