A Dream

Author: Fazal Baloch

In this game of life

We have been through a myriad of roads and realms

While looking outside

Sometimes you feel

Your eyes are not what they have been

While treading along a path

Sometimes it occurs to you

These are the legs of a stranger you are walking with

In this game of life

Everybody wears a paradox

New in one moment

Old in the next

Last night

We sat for hours under the moon

You gleamed far beyond the horizons of my imagination

And like the hand of an ailing man

I trembled on the bosom of time

In the very moment

A fresh dream you sent to me

And by the shade of that dream

Hand in hand with each other

We looked ahead

An unexpected dust covered the grey mountains

And began a horse race

I wonder

To where vanished all those hues and shades of life

A moment earlier that lay scattered by that mountain?

In search of a grave

We drifted far away from each other

And never met again

Before the second dream!
