KARACHI: Dollar closed even versus domestic unit in interbank and edged higher in open market transaction. After appreciating by 02 paisas during intraday trading, dollar closed at Rs 105.35 for buying and Rs 105.55 for selling.
Pound Sterling closed at Rs 139.08 for buying and Rs 139.28 for selling. Euro closed even at Rs 123.63 for buying and Rs 123.83 for selling in interbank trading.
In kerb market, dollar gained 10 paisas versus rupee to close at Rs 107.35 for buying and Rs 107.55 for selling. Pound closed firm at Rs 141.70 for buying and Rs 141.90 for selling, after gaining 20 paisas. Euro remained flat and closed at Rs 125.50 for buying and Rs 125.70 for selling. Treasurers and currency dealers attributed the trend of major currencies to normal demand by importers and corporate sector.
