One dead as oil tanker rams into house in Korangi

KARACHI: A speeding oil tanker rammed into a house in Korangi area of the city, killing one and injuring seven on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident took place when the driver lost control of the oil tanker’s wheel.

At least eight people, who were in the house at that time, came under the debris. They were pulled out and taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where one of them died. The deceased was identified as 20-year-old Naureen.

The driver of the oil tanker escaped after the incident, rescue officials said.
