QUETTA: At least 16 foreigners and two locals who were being ‘taken’ to Europe illegally were stopped late Monday following an operation in Radbeen area near Turbat, agencies revealed.
According to sources, 15 of the foreigners recovered belong to Nigeria and one is of Yemen origin, adding that the foreigners were trying to make their way to to Europe illegally.
Two armed suspects were also arrested during the operation in Radbeen area and weapons were also recovered from them.
On Sunday, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had taken an alleged human smuggler named Sohail Shakeel from Gujrat in custody in relation to the Turbat massacre in which several bodies were recovered from an unmarked area.
