Heatwave continues in Karachi

KARACHI: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department the ongoing heat wave in the city is predicted to continue for three to four days.

The hot and dry weather is predicted to at least continue for the next 24 hours. Temperatures are expected to go as high and low as 26° and 38-40° Celsius, respectively.

PMD recorded the humidity level in the air at 69%.

Sea breeze that usually keeps the weather in Karachi controlled is reported to give away hot winds hence increasing temperature to go above 40° Celsius.

For the next 24 hours, thunderstorms with rain, scattered dust, and gusty winds are predicted in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and some places in Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad, and FATA.
