ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Pervaiz Rasheed on Sunday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was scared to face the ruling party in the 2018 polls and thus wanted early elections.

Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said, “He whose own party is being dissolved wants the Parliament to be dissolved.”

He said the ‘lion’, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s electoral symbol, will force its opponents to run away in the next elections, adding that “Nawaz Sharif is Pakistan’s asset”.

“Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will not go for confrontation with any state institution, as our focus is on preparing for the 2018 elections”, he mentioned. “We are paying a price for our struggle for democracy,” said Rasheed.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Asif Kirmani on Sunday said that opponents would not be able to compete with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in upcoming 2018 elections.

“We will defeat the opponents in the election of 2018 as the preparations for the public meeting is on full swing,” Asif Kirmani said.

He further said their opponents had indulged in baseless allegations and conspiracies against the ruling party led by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

Asif Kirmani reiterated the achievements of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. He said Nawaz Sharif turned Pakistan into the first Islamic nuclear state, strengthened economy and initiated the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Kirmani said that Nawaz Sharif reduced load shedding and reduced terrorism across the country.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader said that Hazara Motorway would be a gift of Nawaz Sharif for the masses of Hazara and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
