Students from 17 colleges of upper Sindh including: Sukkur, Larkana, Ghotki, Pano Akil, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Khairpur and others visited the event and took keen interest in different projects showcased by the students of different universities.

The competition included competitions between 57 teams, line following robot competition, speed programming competition, gaming competition (FIFA & Counter Strike) and circuit designing competition. Sukkur IBA University Acting Vice Chancellor Zahid Hussain inaugurated the event and visited different stalls, established by students of various universities.

He appreciated the hard work of students, who had come up with different projects.

Assistant Professor Asim Samejo said gone were the days when parents wanted their children to become doctors and engineers, but “now we have to produce scientists, who can help invent various technologies that facilitate today’s busy living”.

The event was organised to bring professionals and potential students to one platform to motivate and inspire them to opt for modern sciences instead of running for becoming doctors or engineers alone, he said.

We have already wasted much of our precious time and now we must resolve to produce more scientists to make Pakistan a prosperous country.
