Rabi-ul-Awwal moon sighted in Pakistan

LAHORE: 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, believed to be the birth day of the Holy Prophet(PBUH), will be observed on Dec 1 as the moon of the Islamic month has been sighted today.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced the sighting of the moon after the committee reviewed the testimonies received from the different parts of the country.

“Testimonies were received from the different cities of Pakistan including Multan, Killat, Zhob and Karahci,” Mufti Muneeb said.

The first Rabi-ul-Awwal will be on Monday, Nov 20 and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal will be observed on Friday, December 1.
