No court’s decision can break my ties with public: Nawaz

LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that no decision of the court can break the ties between him and his followers.

He was addressing a public gathering in Abbottabad on Sunday to formally launch his party’s election campaign for the upcoming general elections.

Referring towards the Supreme Court’s verdict in Panama case which disqualified him, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN-N) leader said the people who came here to support him is a proof that no decision can break his ties with them.

“I have bought my petition to the people today and now they will give their decision,” he said.

He, indirectly, criticized the judiciary saying “They never held any dictator accountable.”

“Four or five people can never decide the fate of millions of Pakistanis,” PML-N leader said.

Lambasting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) government in the province, he said that they had increased the corruption instead of eradicating it.

Referring towards those who talk about “minus-Nawaz” he said, “Nawaz sharif is an ideology. This ideology will bring revolutionary changes in Pakistan.”

He urged the people to support him for bringing change in the country.

“March with me to change the country’s destiny,” he said.
