Lt Gen Amir elected president

LAHORE: Lt Gen Amir Riaz, Corps Commander Lahore, has been elected as president of the Punjab Golf Association (PGA) for the next term of four years. The other elected office bearers are Brig (r) Tahir Saleem of the Garrison Golf Club (vice-president), Brig (r) Sikandar Hayat of Defence Raya Golf Club (vice-president), Shahid Wahab Rao (secretary general) of the Defence Raya Golf Club and Col Farhat Kiani (treasurer) of the Garrison Golf Club. Members elected on women’s seats include Dr Asma Afzal Shami and Maimoona Azam. Zahid Sultan has been chosen to represent professional golfers on the executive committee.
