LAHORE: An Indian man on Tuesday killed his wife after she refused to have sex with him.

Police claimed that 35 years old Sanjiv Kumar killed his wife, Suman, during a clash on the matter of having sex.

“Kumar was insisting her to have sex with him but her refusal irritated him and he strangled her,” police officer Ramesh Jaglan told media.

Kumar has confessed to his crime during the investigation, Jaglan claimed.

Kumar and Suman married a decade ago. They have two children.

The incidents of domestic violence have been increased in India. At least one case of domestic violence in India is reported to the police every five minutes but activists claim the real numbers are even higher.
