LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the rulers would have to face consequences of patronizing the elements who recently attempted to alter the laws relating to Khatm-e-Nubuwwat.

Addressing the central leadership of the JI at Mansoora on Wednesday, Sirajul Haq said that the people who tried to drop the legislators’ oath concerning the Khatm-e-Nubuwwat were not only involved in a crime against the nation but had also committed a crime against the beloved Prophet and could not be spared in any case. He demanded the government to make public the report of the official committee on the issue and hand down a strict punishment to those responsible.
