LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) announced on Wednesday that it would reinvestigate Ishaq Dar for an alleged corruption of Rs 1.2 million in connection with Hudaibiya Paper Mills case.
New evidence against the Sharif family surfaced when the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which investigated the family and Ishaq Dar in the Panama Papers case submitted its report. The SC in its verdict also asked NAB to investigate Dar but the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) dismissed the NAB reference against him and decided to put an end to the case. NAB then filed an appeal in the SC. As a result, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar ordered a three-member bench for hearing the case.
NAB, in a press release on Wednesday, announced that it would reinvestigate Ishaq Dar to fulfill the legal requirements of the case.
