KARACHI: The last day of the Trade & Development Authority of Pakistan and Fashion Pakistan’s export showcase featured up and coming designers’ collections in a segment known as Millennial Fashion. Most of the participants put forth vibrant, powerful pieces, which came across as fashion forward and highly inspiring.

AMNA & RIDA

A collection, which came out as a little incohesive, featured eveningwear dresses and gowns in a pink and green colour palette.

FARAH ASAD

Mostly in white, the fabrics were nylon, linen and wool. Front open dresses, jackets and overalls were the main pieces on display.

FARAH USMAN

Farah Usman’s collection featured hot pink and heavily sequined outfits with a lot of embellished capes, short palazzo pants, wrap dresses, peplum tops and embellished straight pants.

NAINA BHAGWATI

Set in beige and a gold colour palette, the collection consisted of straight flare border pants, short bustier tops with cutwork, embroidered jacquard skirts and lots of off shoulder net tops and knee length dresses. All in all, Naina Bhagwati put forth a great collection.

SALMAN JAVED

The designer showcased some interesting pieces like organza tops with 3D print separates. Symmetry designs on pants set in a grey and white colour palette were some of the key highlights of his collection.

SHAHMIR ANSARI

It was a fun collection that featured suits, waistcoats, jackets and tuxedos for men in a brown, black, grey and a pink colour palette.

SOBIA HALAR

Sobia Halar’s concept of highlighting children’s rights in the society through a fashion showcase was distinct, unique and noteworthy. At the start, one thought maybe the idea was to put forth the dilemma beautiful and courageous women face of the fact that are only liked and admired if they remain quiet. But as the collection unfolded, one knew it was about children who are deprived of their rights like education, basic needs, etc. The timing couldn’t have been more right as Children’s Day falls today. The collection showcased a lot of bolero tops, gowns, cocktail dresses and mini skirts and the colour palette was of grey, white and green.

SUNDAS TALPUR

The young designer displayed Hollywood diva like cocktail skirts, which seemed to be inspired by a lot of the 1980s era, featuring sequined gowns, stunning blue, red, yellow and black flashy attires with Jackets and zipped up leather pants.

TIP SHOWCASE

Set in denims, the collection showed cotton kurtis with skinny jeans, digital printed skirts with velvet jackets and jeans and cotton t shirts for men.

ZAINAB KHALID

The designer showed white separates fused with yellow and blue colours, featuring a lot of pants, jackets and overcoats.
