LAHORE: In a video statement from Dubai, former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf said on Sunday that, an alliance of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) could beat Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in coming elections.
He further added that the alliance could also bring the forward blocks of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) under its banner.
“An alliance of the said parties, along with other political forces such as Pir Pagara, can defeat PPP in Sindh.” He declared.
He maintained that for him heading the MQM would be a foolish thing to do. “I cannot restrict myself to a communal or ethnic political party.”
