Pakistan finishes last after losing from Japan: Four-Nation Intl Hockey Festival

LAHORE: Green shirts faced second consecutive loss against Japan by 2-1 at the Four-Nation International Festival of Hockey at Melbourne’s State Netball and Hockey Centre Australia on Sunday.

The only goal against Japan was scored by Ajaz Ahmad in the 13th minute.

A press release by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) stated that, the Green Shirts ended the tournament in the last spot. In the first match against Australia, Pakistan faced their worst-ever defeat when they lost 1-9.

On Saturday, New Zealand defeated Pakistan 3-2, making it their third successive defeat in tournament.

In the final of the tournament, Australia and New Zealand will face each other.
