KARACHI: Police killed an alleged robber during an encounter in Kiamari area of Karachi in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, a 34-year-old unknown accused was looting public at gunpoint when police reached the scene. The robber opened fire on police team which was returned by the police.
During exchange of fire, the robber suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot. Police recovered a TT pistol, bullets and a motorbike from his possession.
The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
