ISLAMABAD: Multan Sultans, the newly inducted team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has appointed former Test cricketer Nadeem Khan as manager of the team. An official of Multan Sultans confirmed Wednesday that 47-year old Nadeem Khan had joined the franchise as manager of the team for the third edition of PSL, scheduled to be held in February next year. Nadeem has played two Tests for Pakistan, against West Indies in 1996 and against India in 1999. He has also managed various domestic teams. The franchise is in talks with former Test batsman Mohammad Wasim for the role of a batting coach. Talks are in final stages to bring the 40-year old Wasim in coaching staff headed by former Australian Tom Moody. He has played 18 Tests and 25 ODIs for Pakistan between 1996 and 2000. Former physio of the Indian cricket team Andrew Leipus, who hails from Australia, is also likely to join the team. Andrew is currently working with IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. The management of Multan Sultans is also in talks with a former South African cricketer for the role of assistant coach during the PSL
