Soomro unhappy over power and gas load shedding in Larkana

LARKANA: “Why has Nawaz Sharif’s federal government treating Sindh in a step-motherly fashion? Since the worst electricity & gas load shedding is being carried out throughout Larkana district and which has crippled life”.

This was stated by MNA Ayaz Soomro while talking to various delegations that called on him at his residence in Larkana on Tuesday. There were complaints made against unscheduled prolonged power & gas outages.

He believed the PML-Nawaz government has deliberately targeted Larkana district. The delegation members also complained that flights at Mohenjo Daro airport have also considerably reduced and so there has been difficulty in travelling from one place to another. MNA Soomro said that unannounced load shedding of gas & power has reached a crisis level because of the fact that both these essential services are often disconnected by local authorities without any official announcement or prior notice; creating a multitude of problems for citizens. He said that “the claim of the government to reduce electricity load shedding is nothing but a white lie”. Soomro said that PPP is holding protests for the supply of water, and against the non-availability of gas and power for which sit-ins will continue to take place in the province until these basic necessities are given to the people of Sindh.

Soomro also affirmed that voices will be raised in parliament against the lack of provision of these fundamental utility services. The local residents always clear their monthly bills and pay their taxes regularly but are nonetheless denied these services. He urged the delegation members to fully take part in the on-going census so that nobody is left behind.
