He said that it was unfortunate that the suggestion aimed at bringing judges and generals into the purview of accountability laws had been rejected by the designated parliamentary committee. The PPP chairman expressed his views on Twitter and said it was unfortunate that parliament did not pass a more robust accountability bill.
In another tweet, Bilawal shared the message of mysticism by declaring it an effective tool against terrorism. “We will respond to dhamaka … with dhamal,” he wrote.
Bilawal gave this message on the 274th urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai where he said that even shrines of Sufi saints were not safe due to religious extremism. He also credited the scholars for highlighting the message of peace given by Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
Criticising religious extremism, Bilawal said that terrorism had even risked the shrines of Sufi saints. “The need of the hour is to spread the message (of peace) through Sufism,” he added.
Meanwhile, Bilawal presided over a meeting of PPP Sindh to get briefing on the Sindh chapter’s preparations for participating in Party’s Golden Jubilee celebrations to be held in Islamabad on December 5.
