Baldia factory fire accused Hammad Siddiqui likely to be extradited by next week: sources

DUBAI: The prime suspect regarding the 2012 Baldia factory fire case , Hammad Siddiqui can be brought back to Pakistan as early as next week,according to sources.

Legal formalities have been completed meanwhile proper documentation to eject the accused back to Pakistan has been handed over to the diplomatic officials according to diplomatic sources.

FIA officials have been notified by the Pakistani mission in the United Arab Emirates, and their team would soon be heading off to UAE for the purpose of the extradition of Hammad Siddiqui.

Siddiqui has reportedly has made several revelations to police under custody in the UAE and has named Naveed and Danish during the ongoing investigation.

Emirati sources have stated that the police is also on the lookout for the escaped duo.

Earlier local sources revealed that Siddiqui was an employee of a general trading company in Dubai and is wanted in a number of heinous crimes, Siddiqui holds marketing manager visa from Al Takatuf General Trading (LLC) since 2014.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) had last year ordered Pakistani authorities to get the accused arrested via the Interpol. The Ministry of Interior, acting on the court orders, had also issued a red warrant Siddiqui’s arrest.
