JHANG: A fighter jet of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed near Athara Hazari of Jhang on Tuesday. Luckily, the pilot remained unhurt. According to a PAF spokesman, the aircraft was on its routine training mission. The pilot safely ejected from the aircraft before it hit the ground. He, however, said that the reason behind the crash could not be confirmed yet. He said that the crash caused no physical damage on the crash site, as the pilot judiciously swept the plane away from the populated area. The spokesman said that the plane developed a technical glitch and crashed soon after it took off from Somniani range. An inquiry has been ordered into the crash.
