The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the army chief was scheduled to meet Iranian civilian and military leaders.
Last Tuesday, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost met the army chief at the General Headquarters and the two discussed “visits and exchanges in defence realm,” according to a statement by the army’s media relations wing, the ISPR.
They also had discussions on regional security and Pak-Iran border management.
The Iranian ambassador “acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s contributions for peace and stability in the region and pledged to keep working for better relations between two countries,” the ISPR statement further said.
